The Traditional Tea Dress

Went for a fitting to select my tea dress...hmm..

After trying on 3 different types of Kua, most of them look alike to me. Other than the cutting and material so iI chose the relatively modern type made with silk like material. Super cooling and comfy to wear!

I didn't realize that the traditional Kua cannot be altered. Then again, make sense la cos of all the beadings and embroidery on it.

I'm wearing S size and it kind of got me thinking again...then those brides slimmer than me how?
And so I asked, So what type of body shape is suitable for the Cheong Sam? Cos I always have this thinking that you must be really slim to wear it. which is only half correct.

The coordinator actually say that you've to be tall and with abit of flesh, else probably can't see the curves and all...hmm..

Anyway to satisfy my personal desire, even though I am short and fat, i decided to try on the cheong sam type as tea dress..lolx...

Surprisingly I still look ok leh...(i think)

Just that Mr. Keir doesn't like me wearing this and both my BFF and coordinator agreed some how i look pretty wild in a cheongsam.
Maybe they think I look like I'm from one of the nightclubs? ahahhaha...

Well here's the main reason why i can't wear this piece of dress as my tea dress even though i really quite like it!

the side is transparent..and it shows..............super obvious..

My tattoo...haha..maybe that's the main reason why i really like it personally too..
but Nah, not gona scare off those relatives, you know how traditional some of them might be...so yea let's stick to the traditional Kua for now...

Taiwan Kids friendly Accommodation with slides - not your usual list!

And so from a mere idea of bringing Sticky Bean with us to Taiwan, this idea was put into action with Singapore Airlines 70th Anniversary promotion where you get to pay only $70 for a child's ticket! Though it's not exactly the cheapest option for flying to Taiwan, we thought to pay a little more for better service and not to mention safety since it will be Sticky Bean's first time traveling on a relatively longer flight. Her first plane ride was a really short one to KL, a mere 1 hour away. If she's manageable on the flight, we can then consider budget airlines such as Scoot or even Jetstar for our subsequent travels. So why Taiwan? There are plenty of reasons for our choice other than both Mr. Keir and myself love Taiwan for the food and hospitality. I'm sure you may have come across Awesome kids friendly accommodation with slides and other themed rooms in Taiwan that are trending in facebook. That was one of the many reasons why we want to go Taiwan too!

BTO Keys Collection and BTO Door Opening Ceremony

And so after a long 4 years wait, our BTO is finally ready for keys collection. To be honest we totally forgot about out BTO and was pleasantly surprised to receive an SMS from HDB to inform us of our BTO keys collection date. That was when we frantically tried to hunt for an ID. Ok to cut the story short, here's what happened on the BTO keys collection day as well as what we did for our "BTO Door Opening Ceremony". There really wasn't an official BTO door opening ritual or ceremony in fengshui. I guess this is just a Singapore custom. Though we do not have a religion, in particular, we just did it for an ease of mind. Love the  living room view from our 30th storey BTO view from our Service Yard BTO Key Collection Process at HDB Time took: less than an hour It was a very straightforward and easy process. Here's what you need to prepare, assuming that you are taking the loan from HDB. Identity cards Marriage certificate if you are buying

Our 7 Day 6 Nights Taiwan Child Friendly Itinerary Preview

Here's a preview of our Taiwan Child Friendly Itinerary for our trip to Taiwan earlier this month in May 2017. You can click on the respective days for a detailed post. And so we finally embarked on our journey to Taiwan onboard Singapore Airlines! Thanks to Singapore Airlines 70th Anniversary promo, we decided to splurge a little on the air tickets. The air tickets cost about $1,440 for 2 adults and 1 3.5 yr old. We spent a total of 7 days 6 nights in Taiwan altogether. But in order to make our Taiwan trip more child-friendly, relaxing,  and to cut down on travelling time, we merely visited the North part of Taiwan primarily - Hsinchu, Yilan and Taipei. It's never easy travelling with a young one, hence we should not be too ambitious when it comes to planning your Taiwan Child Friendly itinerary. Good thing is,  Mr  Keir and I have always preferred a chillax itinerary. We're not the type of tourist who loves to jam pack the full day and visit 101 attracti
